Dear Natick Voters:
Three
years ago I said I’d help Natick run better. Find root causes of
problems and fix them. Plan long-term – not just for the next project,
or for one group of people, but into the future and for all citizens.
My record shows I’ve done just that.Operational
efficiencies like our new use of Medicare will save Natick taxpayers
over $600,000 – while maintaining retiree benefits. Getting to the
bottom of long-neglected problems like the Walcott trust fund, setting
a new standard of accountability and transparency.
Leading
the cross-board Financial Planning Committee has brought real and open
collaboration among the Board of Selectmen, School Committee, and
Finance Committee. The future holds many more challenges
for us to handle together: budgets, affordability, education, safety
and other crucial services, the need for a new high school and a new
senior/community center. All will require Selectmen who are strong,
responsible, and thoughtful. I hope you agree that I bring these
attributes to the Board and that I’ve earned your continued confidence.
I’m asking now for your vote in the Town Election on March 25. Let’s get to work!
Yours truly,
Carol Gloff
